The riposte animation is exactly the same as Dark Souls, and since recent years, Fromsoft has created a catacomb with its traditional assets, and then even designed a catacomb.
Other isolated observations from the PC Gamer towers: We like the chonky pony and his widdle legs. The spell effects are fantastic and are based again on the earlier Souls animations but amped up to 11 and with a lot more visual spectacle. The show demonstrates things like the spirit summons, small enemy engagements and some of the boss’s co-op fights. When first revealed, Elden Ring’s similarity to the Souls series was the cause of some grumbling, but there is nothing wrong with developers re-using perfectly functional assets and it is clear the open world here is quite different from the other two.
